Celebrating Halloween has become increasingly popular in England over the last 10 years. Whether you are looking forward to a night of spooky surprises or hoping to escape it all with a soft soothing massage at home, follow these simple tips to make your 31 October in London a more enjoyable night. If you enjoy carving pumpkins, enter our competition at the end and win yourself a free massage!
If you are hosting a Halloween Party, a great idea is to book a mobile massage therapist to attend your event for one or two hours. Get a scary costume for your therapist to wear and she or he can wander amongst your party guests during the evening. A loose fitting ghost outfit is one of the best ideas for your party masseuse as it is suitably spooky but also allows your therapist to move around freely whilst performing massages. Guests absolutely love the fun of being approached by a ghost with flailing arms who then offers them a rejuvenating 5 minute on-site neck and shoulder massage.
Make sure you take plenty of snaps of your guests being massaged by a ghost for a great Halloween photo album.
For those who loathe Halloween, the most frustrating part is receiving unexpected knocks at the front door during the evening.
A simple unwritten rule of 'trick or treating' is to only visit homes that have Halloween decorations displayed. If you see a beautifully carved pumpkin glowing in the dark, it’s probably safe to assume that the residents will welcome passing ghosts and vampires – well, at least kids dressed up as such! On the other hand, if a house is showing no signs of Halloween other than being eerily dark, it’s probably best to give it a miss and move on to the next home.
Remember, if you were expecting to relax with a massage at home instead of celebrating Halloween and you do get an unexpected knock at the front door, it might simply be your mobile massage therapist arriving a little early.
Most massage therapists love to visit homes that have been painstakingly decorated with interesting ideas for Halloween. If you are someone who enjoys a bit of pumpkin carving, book a massage through us and email us a photo of your mobile massage therapist holding your beautifully prepared pumpkin. The best photo will be chosen on 4 November and will win a free one-hour home visit massage. Now that's a treat!
Closing date for entries is 3 November. The photo must be taken with The Massage Rooms therapist in attendance. Entry to the competition is restricted to one entry per person please. The prize massage can only be delivered to a valid London address in zones 1 - 4. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. We are compliant with relevant laws on data protection and policies ensure that we will not pass your details to any third party without your prior written consent. This competition is not open to persons connected to or working with The Massage Rooms.
